Developed in collaboration with the U.S. Army’s Delta Force, Heckler and Koch designed the 416 assault rifle to be an improved and more reliable alternative to the standard issue M4. Fitted with a piston gas system, it greatly increased the overall reliability of the firearm and the longevity of its parts. The H&K 416 is now one of the most popular assault rifle in the special operations community and is currently being used by Army Delta units, several NAVY SEAL teams and many other special forces groups across the globe. The H&K HK416 A5 is a further development in the 416 improving the rifle's overall performance, reliability and compatibility for operators.
Just like its previous iterations, the H&K HK416 A5 by VFC is an extremely accurate replica of the famous assault rifle. The metal body is covered with officially licensed trademarks and logos from Heckler & Koch. The gun features a full metal rail system, which is connected to the 416’s body. This creates both a solid rail system for attachments and a full length top rail for any assortment of optics and sights. The pistol grip is slimmed down and angled slightly to make it more ergonomic to hold in comparison to standard M4/M16 grips. And the stock is designed similarly to its real-counterpart featuring a slimmed down design with a large stock pad for more positive shoulder weld. The biggest addition to the A5 is that it features ambidextrous controls. From the fire selector to the magazine release and functioning bolt catch the HK416 A5 can be easily manipulated from either side.
Internally, the H&K HK416 A5 features an upgraded gearbox that is seen in VFC's Avalon series. The 8mm ECS gearbox utilizes metal internals and reinforced poly-carbonate components for a very durable, high performance out of the box AEG. Notably, the HK416 A5 also features a quick change spring guide system allowing players to change springs to meet their local field's FPS limits without cracking open the gearbox. Strong internals, coupled with a full metal construction and CQB length barrel make s this AEG an ideal choice for players who wish to have a tactical and modern looking gun that can be adaptable to a variety of skirmishing situations.
